CD Designs Blog
Choice is a funny thing, isn’t it? You’re never presented with more choices than when you’re looking to pay for a product or service; suddenly there are offers and alternatives everywhere. There’s almost too much choice. Obviously, you don’t get the best deal without shopping around a little, but sometimes it can get a bit much, can’t it?
That’s why we suggest going for a product that offers flexibility, and with a supplier who have your best interests in mind. If you’re looking for a driveway, for example, a product like pattern imprinted concrete should meet all your needs when it comes to hard surfacing.
It’s durable, and it’s easily maintained. In terms of design, it’s an excellent choice for a number of different applications. Because it’s so plastic, it can be shaped into bands and fields with ease. A good contractor –like CD Designs – will understand what you want from your pattern imprinted concrete driveway and should know how to achieve it. Unless it’s totally impossible, that is.
Take a look at the case studies section of our website to see some examples of the work that we’ve previously completed for clients. And take a look at the other services we offer; every service we provide is performed to the highest possible standard, and we’re dab hands at combining services to make the most out of your pattern imprinted concrete driveway.

We spend a bit of time researching pattern imprinted concrete driveways on the internet; it means we’ve always got something to write our blog posts about. It was whilst we were doing some poking around on the net that we found out and interesting fact: Manchester searches for the word “driveways” on Google more than anyone else in the UK.
So, are people in Greater Manchester just mad for driveways? Our almost entirely un-scientific research methods would seem to suggest so. And who can blame you, people who live in Manchester. You’ve got some of the best driveway surfacing contractors in the country on your doorstep. Like us, for example; we’re based in Bury and we travel throughout the north west installing pattern imprinted concrete driveways for our customers.
As you can see from our case studies, the pattern imprinted concrete driveways we provide are high quality, attractive additions to our customers’ properties. We can imprint a wide variety of different patterns, and can offer concrete in a number of different colours. It’s easy to get classic looking driveway that’s durable and will last for decades.
So, driveway mad Manchester, you know who to get in touch with. Stop Googling and send Complete Driveway Designs a request for a free quote.

Pattern imprinted concrete driveways may seem most suited to the suburban properties. And it’s true that the majority of work jobs we perform are in towns and suburban areas across the North West. But that doesn’t mean we’re not up to jobs in the city.
Commercial customers in particular should rest assured that we don’t have any problems venturing into the depths of Manchester, for example, to install pattern imprinted concrete. Pattern imprinted concrete is an excellent product for commercial properties. It offers a remarkable amount of design flexibility, which is excellent for branding purposes. It’s also ideal for making sure external surfaces are regular and durable; important for both customer and staff safety.
For an example of this type of pattern imprinted concrete installation, take a look at this blog post on the work we did for Vital Services. As you can see, they need a relatively small area of pattern imprinted concrete – a pathway instead of a driveway – and we were more than happy to provide it.
Domestic customers in the city should remember us as well, if they’re in need of an attractive surface. Pattern imprinted concrete is ideal for city properties; it’s relatively quickly installed, and remarkably durable once it’s set.

Gravel is tricky stuff. There are some tasks that it’s pretty good for; filling in borders around flowerbeds, for example. Also, it’s useful for drainage purposes. However, gravel driveways – we mean drives surfaced entirely in 6-20mm gravel – can cause problems. Loose gravel can get everywhere, and although gravel will “settle” the longer it’s in one place, that means a gravel drive will later require topping up with more gravel.
That’s why we’d suggest that at least the area of your driveway which is going to be seeing vehicle traffic is surfaced with pattern imprinted concrete. Pattern imprinted concrete driveways are durable and, once set, should see you right for years (as long as you remember to reseal every two years or so).
If you’d still like to incorporate gravel into your driveway design, there are a number of different ways of doing so. And, depending on what variety of gravel is available, we’re sure you’ll be able to find a complimentary combination in our range of patterns and colours.
Unfortunately the case studies section of our website doesn’t contain any examples of pattern imprinted concrete driveways combined with gravel. If it’s something you’re interested in, why not contact us for a free quote? Who knows, your property could be our pattern imprinted concrete and gravel case study!

We’ve already had some glorious weather this year – almost enough to make up for winter’s snow and ice. It’s interesting how a slight improvement in the weather makes for a massive improvement in peoples’ mood. Everyone seems happier in the sunshine, and it’s definitely the time for parties.
Garden parties can be really special, and are definitely an excellent solution for people who prefer not to have a house-full of people, but still enjoy socialising. There’s definitely less worry about spillages!
One of the benefits of having an area of pattern imprinted concrete – a patio, or extended driveway, for example – is that it provides a dry, level surface for socialising. It’s perfect for positioning a few chairs and a table, provided that you make sure they won’t scrape the sealant on your driveway.
Of course, we aren’t suggesting that you’ll invest money in an area of pattern imprinted concrete purely for throwing garden parties. But it’s added bonuses, like the effect that pattern imprinted concrete can have on the use you get out of your property, that make it such an excellent home investment.
