Milton Street, Ramsbottom
About the Milton Street, Ramsbottom project:
This charming back street had lost some of its attraction. Its mix of cobble and un-decorative concrete had taken the appeal away from this secluded Dickensian street. New Aco drainage systems were fitted at intervals, in the middle and bottom of the street. The use of La Harbre slate on the left hand of the street gave the impression of flags and the use of Old English Cobble rejuvenated the whole street, recapturing the old fashioned feel that it had previously lost. Due to the steepness of the drive not only was anti slip used, as it is with all our driveways, but a more course alternative ‘low grip’ was used as well, so as not to effect the integrity of the pattern imprinted concrete.
